Springtime is Here!

One of Miriam-Webster's definitions of Spring is "a time or season of growth or development."

The Spring season started this past month, and it was another reminder that God continues to grow and develop his people into what He intended; people who love and serve Him and one another, everywhere they go.

Most of the core that Collin and I have the opportunity of leading this year.
Super proud of these guys for taking the time to meet up, share their lives, and be willing to stretch and grow their relationship with Christ!

Sam and I building the display boards for SSI week!
SSI stands for Student Spring Impact, a week where students from a partner ministry in Washington state come down every year to help us serve and reach out to students on campus.

Day 1 of SSI at the Spring Creek campus. We had such an incredible turnout of students from our ministry come to engage the campus in talking about the nature of God and Jesus!

Day 2, this time at Preston Ridge!

Our SSI crew attempting to make a Collin Cougars hand sign.

As always, student leaders like Bailey and Raven rose bright and early to serve. They made breakfast for our staff and SSI team!

Day 3, this time at the Central Park campus!

At Central Park, we had games and activities to accompany the display boards and give the students a break from studying.

Day 4, back at Spring Creek! This time we had people share blessings and encouragements with each other in the form of sticky notes or conversations. It was a neat opportunity to get to pray for people as well.
God is ALIVE and MOVING on this campus!

Some of our students took our Washington friends out to rock climb since we don't have mountains in Dallas.

Our Washington friends were such a spur to our staff and students. They taught us so much about serving and loving people in such a short amount of time. We'll miss them, but I know that Western Washington University is in good hands as long as people like them are serving the Lord!

And I won't stop boasting about our students just yet! A group of our Collin students collected supplies to give to people in need and without homes in Downtown Dallas. Completely on their own. They've seen what Jesus has done for them, and have taken it to the world.

This is what I pray for this next generation to be.

And finally, June is here! Garrett's healthy baby girl was born on April 1st. Thank you so much for your prayers!

God is the giver of life, and He is GOOD.

Your brother in Christ,
Alex Garcia
